I'm the admin, MoMusuArchives! I've been uploading subbed Morning Musume-related videos on Youtube for almost a year now, and I've been wanting to find a way to centralize communication with our subbing group MoreMorningSubs. I found that this website is an opportunity for me to do just that. Others are welcome, I'm looking forward to talking with you all!

Yo, I'm a volunteer timer, TLC and/or whatever's needed / within my skill set, self-proclaimed voice of reason, fan of MoMusu since early last decade and a Stage6 survivor. Yoropiku (^___^ )

Hello. I knew momusu since forever, but I kinda transferred to a fan just recently. So I just wanted to say thank you to a guy behind MoMusuArchives channel, I love you man. And hope we can keep this thing going from now on.

Hello~~
I am Machikono, nickname comes quite simply from the gorgeous japanese actress Ono Machiko. Sometimes I am called Machi too, that's cute. I fell in love with the Momusu golden era but became a fan around the platinum era (which I didn't know though, at the time). Stopped being a fan around Resonant Blue, sadly, and only recently got back. I still feel strongly about the Golden Era as I'm not as enthusiastic about the current one (sadly, I really wish I was!).
I'm also a huge fan of Ayumi Hamasaki.
I don't think I'll be much help with the subbing/translating business as it probably doesn't really need any graphic designing that I on the other hand can handle.
Nice to meet you!

Hello everyone! I was first introduced to Morning Musume when I stumbled upon the infamous "refrigeeta" scene from Ep265 on Youtube back in late 2011. And since MoMusu was formed in '97/'98, you can imagine the crazy catch-up game I had to play to become familiar with 10+ years worth of content. Because "Hello! Morning" / "Harmoni" were ways most of us were introduced to the various members, and this stopped around 8th gen, I consider generations 8 and older as 'old' (but not in a bad way) and 9 to current as 'new'.
I'm studying Japanese but nowhere near enough to hold a conversation. And watching all sorts of subbed videos has made me really curious about the entire subbing process but I've never been involved with any projects as I have no knowledge of any of the skills required to be a contributing member of a subbing team. Heck, I just recently starting watching some videos via soft subs and I consider that a major step for me. (Haha!)
As soon as I saw the video about this forum's existence I immediately made an account to see what it'd be like to connect to other MoMusu fans!

hey there!
I'm a huge H!P fan for 6 years, live in Germany and I'm a language teacher... I'm really interested in all kinds of languages like English, Japanese, Norwegian, Chinese and of course my own, German... I started learning Japanese a few years ago but I'm not fluent yet (about N4 level)... my hobbies are music (I play bass, guitar, drums and write and master songs, too), the asian board game "Go", languages, video games and anime...
my favorite japanese Bands are Scandal, Crossfaith, the Gazette, Yeti, Supercell, Do As Infinity and (although it's not a real band) Hokago Tea Time ^^ of course I love H!P... my personal idol is Scandal's bassist Ogawa Tomomi because her bass skills are incomparable and awesome...
my favorite H!P member is Sato Masaki and my favorite song "what is love"... just recently I started liking Anger Me, Cute and Kobushi Factory... every single group has a unique sound and it's fun to watch them grow... Tsunku has influenced my music as well as all the members have influenced my opinion about japanese idols...
it's been a long time I've used a forum... but it's always a lot of fun ^^ I hope it grows and I can be a part of it for a long time because I'm pretty much alone with my love for H!P at home... there are a lot of thoughts I want to share I can't share with friends...

Hi guys, I've been listening to Momusu since Love Machine era, but kinda stop some time after that. I become Momusu fan again just before Morning Musume 14. Since then I've been collecting all videos of Morning Musume. Found out about this group at the end of last year when I was searching for momusu related video, but I already have all of their video. Its hard to find new momusu video being subbed, like no one is doing them anymore, even hello online tracker is full of AKB and momoclo sub video. Its nice to find someone interested of doing it. Although my japanese skill is way to little, I am willing to help what ever I can.

Hi, my name's Mary,
I'm really bad at introductions but i'll try anyway... I found out about Momusu around 2005 and followed them for a few years but unfortunately kinda stopped for a while (around 2009, I think?) When I tried to get back to it, Junjun, Eri and Linlin were graduating and right after that Ai-chan announced her graduation so I kind of gave up...I came back to the fandom in the beginning of 2014 (this time to hear that Sayumi was leaving T.T) but I have been following the group again since then as well as regularly checking on the OG members. My favorite era is the Golden Era (although I think that Platinium Era performances were really amazing and probably the best quality the group has ever reached) Although I'm currently learning Japanese, my level is way too low for me to be a translator, unfortunately....However, if there's any need, I'd be glad to help with subbing.

Haha. I know how you feel. Since I got into MoMusu around '12, all the videos I had been watching that really got me into the group were outdated so by the time I had "favorite members" they had all graduated years before. Though 9th gen has been around for a while, since I don't know anything about them, I consider 9th gen to current as "new". And as you mentioned, with Sayumi gone, I feel like my last true understanding of MoMusu is gone.

^ That's exactly how i feel too, it feels weird to think that they're the most experienced members now, since to me they're still the "new girls". I'm trying to get to know a bit more about them, but it's really not easy as they don't have that much presence in variety shows and there aren't that many subbed videos of them... I still have to even remember the 12th gen member's names haha To me it really felt like a whole era ended when Sayu graduated

And one of the more prominent new members (Riho, was it?) just recently graduated. So there goes 1 new member that left before I knew anything about her.

haha It took me a while to tell them all apart, I just watched random videos until I was able to do so (fortunately there are still some fans that sub some vids). Riho was a bit hard for me to understand, I mean she never really showed much ? All I know is that she had that Bocchi character (aka a loner) and that she was the "ace" (which wasn't that great to me, although i admit that she had charisma and danced well). For some reason, I was never really able to be fully interested in the 9th gen, if I'm to compare, I find 10th gen much more interesting (especially Sato Masaki, this kid seems musically really talented and has quite a unique personality, although at first she only caught my interest because she was always with Reina and Sayu)

I'm not the biggest Riho fan... but I do love all the members and Riho was simply a part of the new MM... Masaki said it right and just because Riho was so important for all the other members I was sad, too, when she left... you'll all eventually get to know the newer generations and I bet you'll love them, too ^^
